Introduction
Dzukou Valley sits at around 2,452 m on the Nagaland–Manipur border, behind the Japfü range. Famous for its rolling green meadows, slow-flowing streams and the rare Dzukou Lily, it is the most loved trek in the Northeast.
History
The valley has been a sacred grazing ground for Angami and Mao tribes for generations. The name Dzukou comes from the Angami word for 'cold water'. The valley came to wider attention through trekkers in the 1980s and is now part of Nagaland's protected eco-tourism circuit.
Location
