Hornbill Festival 2026 Tickets & Entry Fee — Official Prices

The Hornbill Festival uses gate-pass tickets bought at the Kisama entry, not advance online tickets. Here are the official 2026 entry rates and what is and isn't included.

Daily entry fees at Kisama

Indian adult: ₹30 per day. Indian student (with ID): ₹20. Foreign visitor: ₹200 per day. Child under 10: free. These are the gate prices set by Nagaland Tourism for the 2026 edition (1–10 December).

Camera & vehicle fees

Still camera: included in the entry ticket. Professional video / DSLR with tripod: ₹500 per day, registered separately. Car parking at Kisama: ₹100 per day; bike parking ₹50.

Where to buy tickets

Tickets are sold at the Kisama main gate from 7:30 AM each festival day. There are no genuine pre-booked online tickets — websites that claim to sell advance Hornbill passes are usually scams. Operators can hold gate passes for guests on guided trips.

What the ticket includes

Access to the main arena (tribal performances), all 17 morungs, the World War II Museum at Kisama, indigenous games arena and the craft bazaar. The Hornbill Night Carnival in Kohima town and the Hornbill International Rock Contest are separately ticketed (₹100–₹500).

Best days to attend

Opening (1 December) and closing (10 December) ceremonies have the full procession of all tribes — the most photogenic days. 4–6 December are the busiest mid-festival days with all events in full swing. 2 and 8 December are quieter if you want a calmer experience.
