Frequently Asked Questions
How far is Khonoma from Kohima?
About 20 km west of Kohima, roughly an hour by road. It works perfectly as a day trip from your Kohima hotel during festival week.
Can I attend the festival on two days instead?
Yes. Tell us at booking and we will replace the Khonoma day with a second Kisama day, or split the day between both.
What is the best time to visit for this itinerary?
1–10 December 2026, when the Hornbill Festival runs at Kisama. The first three and last two days are the busiest.
