Kids & Family
Kids Carnival (ImagiLAND)
The dedicated children's programme, listed on the official 2025 schedule as ImagiLAND on some days.
What it is
The Kids Carnival is the children's zone of the Hornbill Festival, running from 10:00 AM on six days of the 2025 programme. On 3 and 8 December 2025 it was listed specifically as ImagiLAND.
Why it matters
The main arena programme is long, loud and crowded. A dedicated children's zone is what makes the festival realistically doable for families with young children.
Where it takes place
Kisama Heritage Village, alongside the main festival grounds.
Getting there: see how to reach Kisama and Kohima, and the Kisama Heritage Village venue guide.
Who should attend
Families travelling with children. Pair it with a mid-festival day rather than the opening or closing, when crowds peak.
Before you travel, check the ILP & PAP permit requirements and budget guidance.
